Is this a Korean War USMC Bedroll Strap?

Estate sale find from a KW USMC Veteran. Research found this post from 2014:

Mine seems to be identical to the strap in the post marked #5 and ID'd by Justin. First pic shows the strap next to a 18 inch ruler. Mine has a P stamped on the buckle. With all due respect to Justin, I am asking for a second opinion on mine. Any help is much appreciated.

The square hardware is typical of M1941 packs manufactured during the the 50's. I believe almost all my bags with the purple 1952 - 1953 ink stamp have square hardware including the bed roll straps that came with them with.

 

I am tempted to dig for mine and see if any are stamped as such.

The case is not necessarily closed, I didn't even notice the name drop.

 

Other opinions and perhaps another member has better documentation.
