madmoose Posted March 19, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 19, 2019 Does anyone know the date the Marine Corps and Navy stopped using wide ribbons? Thanks for the help.
Captainofthe7th Posted March 19, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 19, 2019 I believe it was 1947-49, though you sometimes see them still in use after that date by WWII veterans who had no need to update their racks. I have one set of Marine ribbons made in Japan for a Korea vet that is 1/2" but I consider this unusual and unauthorized. I actually posted here and just found it again trying to answer your question: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/261813-ww2-fat-navy-type-ribbons/ Rob
