Charlie Flick Posted March 18, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 18, 2019 Gentlemen: I keep seeing this image popping up on various websites and represented as a legit image of USAF aircrew in SEA. My memory on this is fuzzy but I seem to remember from somewhere that, in fact, this is a staged photo taken of reenactors. Can anyone please let me know if this is a genuine period photo of USAF personnel or if this is just 'Felipe' and 'Pierre' having some fun? Thanks. Charlie Flick Posted March 18, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted March 18, 2019 AustinO: You nailed it! Thank you. My search mojo must have been faulty as I just could not find that original image, although the cropped version as I posted has shown up everywhere. That's the problem with reenactor photos. While the reenactors are not trying to mislead or fool anyone, the images get passed around by others and before long they are being used to represent the real deal somewhere else on the web.. Thanks again for sorting this out. Regards, Charlie
