Dogsbody Posted March 17, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2019 Hi everybody, I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this patch. The strange thing (to me at least) is that it appears to have a red base fabric (unlike the more often seen tan cotton twill base fabric). I am aware that towards the end of WW2 there were other colours used for base fabrics but I've never encountered red ones. To be clear I'm not that knowledgeable about patches so it may be I'm asking silly questions here . I've performed a burn test on some threads and there's nothing synthetic about this patch. The patch itself is rather on the thin side and very 'floppy' if tht makes any sense. So here's the patch in question and any info will be greatly appreciated whether it's repro, WW2 or post WW2. Wake1941 Posted March 17, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2019 Looks fine to me, different manufactures used different materials. I have no problems with this one
