Good evening,

As I'm a French U.S. garrison / overseas caps collector since  a long time now, I'd like to ask for identification of this particular pink color piping.

When I first asked,  I was told that the piping were red, and then "sun passed" . But I think this is not true. Because when looking at the hidden part of the piping,  where it goes underneath the lateral left side, one can see that the color pink hasn't change by any kind of chemical or sun procedures.

These 3 garrison caps have been bought on different dates, so they do not come from a same dealer ,where they would have possibly been made. This takes away any idea of fake. The first has been bought on nov. 1985, the second on august 1987, and the third on June 2018. The pinks are in different shades, but each 100 % original.

The middle one has the 10th. Army Armoured insignia. Does it give a track for search?.....

Does anyone know to what this pink color matches ?

I would be happy to know, as you can understand.

I thank you before hand for your answers.

François

I have an OS from the 40s with pink piping.

We came to the conclusion it could be ROTC

3 PINK PIPINGS - A copie.jpg Thanks for the 2 answers,

I thought it would have been interesting to have an official relation of these pink pipings to an official service or association.

But I think you are right in your searches, and I thank you very much for your conclusion.

I am attaching the picture of these 3 garrison caps.

And I wish you a good day.

François
