Albert Posted March 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 10, 2019 Dear All, I've had this little grouping of for a while now, and am wondering from what period it could be. All medals have the current crimp brooch ribbon suspension. Vietnam, Irak, Afghanistan? Would it make sense to research it, or is it not worth the effort? Thank You! Best, Al

bobgee Posted March 10, 2019 Share #7 Posted March 10, 2019 They appear to be 1960s/70s Viet Nam era awards. My 2-cents. Bobgee

Teamski Posted March 11, 2019 Share #10 Posted March 11, 2019 I my gut feeling is that these medals date from the 1980's onwards due to the finish on the medals. The poor casting on the GCM is a give away. VN era medals still had a quality finish..... -Ski
manayunkman Posted March 11, 2019 Share #11 Posted March 11, 2019 Are there 2 GCMs ?
Albert Posted March 12, 2019 Author Share #12 Posted March 12, 2019 Yes, two GCMs and two AMs. MMM has a V device. All with crimped broaches. So, what campaign is likely for this kind of grouping? Before or after Desert Storm? And would medals from/ participants of recent campaigns be researchable at all? Thank You!
