nicolas75 Posted March 3, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2019 Hello to all Is this hat WW2 ? All détails looks WW2 to me, i'm just asking myself concerning the inner front pièce cloth to straighten up the front. The pic is dark, it's made of stiff construction with crossing stitchings and allow to level up the cap on the front Is this particular piece WW2 way of the hat being mmanufactured ? If someone has a US Navy Tally cap to complete it ... Thanks and have a nice day
P-40Warhawk Posted March 3, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2019 Yes, looks WWII era. Later manufacture from the 50s-early 60s had clear plastic sweat shields in the top.
P-40Warhawk Posted March 3, 2019 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2019 sweat shields in the top. And kept pomade and other popular 1940s hair gels from staining through the hat
