I found this and it seems like a nice piece of unused surplus at $75. Its supposedly dated 1971. Chinese reproduction or real?

Not a US issue liner.More like the Euro types.The cloth liner chin strap is a clue.I would say the shell is also not US but Im sure you are going to have to post more pictures and markings (if any on the camo cover)

It looks like this liner is one piece of molded plastic and no US issued liner was ever made that way (to my knowledge) so that would be a giant red flag. The cloth liner strap would be #2. That would throw the authenticity of the shell, cover, and band into suspicion also. You are correct, the Chinese make reproductions, I don't know if this is one of those.

Norwegian army issue helmet.  but the helmet cover and elastic band aint Norwegian issue.
