My very small Civil War and Indian War era items. Actually was my first collection when I was young but since I could not find anything locally and most items were too expensive, I moved on to WW1 and WW2. I used to pour thru the Dixie Gun Works catalogues and actually asked my parents to make a trip there where I purchased an 1861 Springfield and a Civil War sword. Still have the sword but the rifle was sold to finance other purchases.
As a young boy I found out about the history of Bannermans Island and would lament that I was not able to buy anything since they were no more.
