lakenormanusa Posted February 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 14, 2019 A new find! 8x10 Hand tinted studio portrait of a WWII enlisted submarine sailor and Silver Star recipient. Photo has a handwritten message to his family and signed, "Lucky." It is also signed by the studio, Roy L. Anderson Seattle.

P-40Warhawk Posted February 14, 2019 Share #7 Posted February 14, 2019 Great photo! Would almost have said possible 'TROUT' sailor, but lack of a Philippine Defense precludes that.
Josh B. Posted February 16, 2019 Share #8 Posted February 16, 2019 Love it! Aside from the awards, never seen a sub qualified jumper with gun pointer combo.
jguy1986 Posted February 16, 2019 Share #9 Posted February 16, 2019 Love it! Aside from the awards, never seen a sub qualified jumper with gun pointer combo. There was one on Etsy a few years back, a GM1c if I recall correctly. Fantastic photo, BTW.
