Finding relatives from dog tags

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to locate family members from a set of dog tags? I recently acquired a large cache of military and firearms related items from an estate of a former WWII and Korean war officer. among the hundreds of items were several old dog tags belonging to multiple different people. I would like to see if they have any living family members and return the tags to them. i have tried searching thru Google but have had no success. Is there another resource I should be using?
