Weird WW2 era Army SN question

Hello

I am looking at a uniform that has a full last name of "Campbell"- and what looks to be a 7- digit serial number of 6846531- if you take the jacket at face value on its insignia- would appear to have been worn by a pre-WW2 RA soldier- so would explain why I cant get a hit on any of the normal resources for looking up SNs or laundry marks

would that SN make sense for a guy that enlisted in the early to mid 30s?

also if this is the incorrect forum, please feel free to move- figured that dog tags and SNs are in the same family so starting here

BTW, on FOLD3, it checks out to a Richard M. Campbell, Field Artillery. It appears that he was in Hawaii during the early 1930s.

Does it show a birthdate?
