Mr.Jerry Posted February 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2019 Is it unusual to find a WWII original long 16" PAL maker name with U.S. and flaming bomb but no date under it? Most of the one I seen are 1942 or 1943 dated.
ccyooper Posted February 7, 2019 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2019 I would call it unusual as I have seen a few but after further investigation some were dated very low on the ricasso below the crosspiece or guard. I dont have Garys book handy to see if that is mentioned in the PAL bayonet description. Maybe others can add light to the anomaly.
SKIPH Posted February 8, 2019 Share #3 Posted February 8, 2019 I can't recall ever seeing one. SKIP
Misfit 45 Posted February 8, 2019 Share #4 Posted February 8, 2019 I've not seen a 16 in. PAL without a date, but I have seen an AFH and a UFH without the date. Yes, they are not very easy to find. Marv
