WW2 6th armoured “super sixth” MTO/PTO camo Helmet - bullet struck

Well its finally time to show the forum my 6th armoured camo Lid I won over a month ago. Ive spent some time with it and feel ready to present it.

Clearly seen here its taken a direct hit to the front of the helmet, the bullet has entered, hit a sweatband clip and bounced back out the helmet.

It is literally the reason why wearing one of these was a good idea, the vet was one lucky son of a gun.

Sadly there was no back story with it, but on closer examination there is a name in pencil on the sweatband, a partial number and the letters R.C

The liner is painted and as the bullet has torn through the helmet its partially taken the insignia with it.

Ive add the 10000% fake Jamie Kashetta next to it to show the difference IMHO of what a real camo Lid really is. Its clear to me with them like this that you can see the fake ageing used on Jamies lids a mile off.

Im not bitter anymore about the captains helmet, but now happy to have a good reference of what it should NOT look like.

I would like to thank some forum members who took the time and saw this helmet and gave me there opinions first, Bugme, Tyler, Mcduff, and Zippy. Thankyou for your time.

Ive added lots and lots of pics including pics through a loupe that show the actual bleed through of the rust from the bottom layers.

I look forward to your comments

- Dean
