First Navy footlocker grouping

This is my first Navy footlocker grouping I have ever owned.Hopefully the medals and photos will be coming soon. I was told he was awarded the Navy Marine Corp medal for saving a sailor who fell in the water at the dock but we shall see if that turns out..

The locker is stamped A W Newbern CWT USN all the uniforms where in the locker with over coat and hat covers. I don't have the full name yet.

[The coats have the BTC rating badges on them which are post WW2 although he was a Chief Water tender during the war.

I'm still piecing the story together he was in before the war and stayed in 20 years .I hope to get his paperwork and photos and medals the family is getting the rest of the items together.
