Just wanted to share this unique letter, it came with a 101st Airborne Division grouping I recently purchased directly from the family. I looked online and couldn’t find any other examples of it out there…

 

The letter appears to be hand-signed by General Maxwell Taylor, Commanding General, 101st Airborne Division. (I blocked out the family info & name for privacy).

 

Really sad but significant letter!
