wildcat123 Posted January 28, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2019 I had posted this over on the field gear forum and someone suggested that I post it here. I pick this up over the weekend at an estate sale for a World War II pacific veteran. Came with a broken M3 handle and no blade. Looking for some information. Reading conflicting post on the outline around the naming on the scabbard . Is it period?

byf41 Posted January 28, 2019 Share #6 Posted January 28, 2019 That's a nice original WWII era sheath . Viner Bros. made 2 variations of the M6 sheath .
Blacksmith Posted January 28, 2019 Share #7 Posted January 28, 2019 Sheath is right as rain. Nice condition on a harder-to-find maker. Congrats.
SKIPH Posted January 28, 2019 Share #8 Posted January 28, 2019 Agree, it looks good to me also. It's a shame the Imperial M3 has a broken, & lost blade. Keep the handle, since it's intact, you may find someone who needs the Imperial leather washers and black plastic spacers to fix an Imperial with deteriorated handle. Thanks for showing.
