Snapped apicture of this stein while out picking. 


I think it's a unit Octoberfest / party mug. It has the logo for the

US Army Headquarters Allied Forces Central Europe


at the bottom left and dated 1977. Any other info would be cool to know.

A minor correction, this mug was used for celebration of "Karneval," the festival held in the Rhineland before the beginning of Lent (it's called Fasching in other parts of Germany), not Oktoberfest. The "Husar's" shield does have what appears to be the AFCENT insignia.
