dskjl Posted January 25, 2019 Author Share #12 Posted January 25, 2019 Doc reads: "The records of this office show that Kirchman was gassed in action on 19 July 1918 and wounded in action 4 October 1918 and evacuated to hospital on both occasions. He was serving as a private with the 16th Company, 5th Regiment, U.S. Marine Corps when gassed and wounded and was honorably discharged on April 14 April 1919."
