Here is a 101st Airborne grouping that I picked up a few years ago from a Pappas family member.

Cris Pappas was not in on the D Day invasion but joined up with the 101st before the Holland drop, Market Garden, and was with them till the end.

The P38 he captured on the Market Garden drop, for me this is the best part of this grouping since I collect P38's. It also has the capture paperwork.

Also the theater made bullion patch is really a plus to this grouping.

I wished the helmet was airborne but it's not.

I'll see if I can get a close up of the P38. Posting photo's here isn't the easiest.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Airborne is not really my forte. I collect WWII aviation gear and also WWII P38's. What I really like in this grouping is a captured P38 with the capture papers ID ing it a member of the 101st.

Here's a picture of the inside of the helmet. Nothing special.

Also on the overseas hat is his 377th PFAB DUI pin.

Stunning grouping all the way around and beautifully displayed as well! Thanks for taking the time to post it here for us to drool over.
