I saw this helmet for sale and was hoping someone could confirm its authenticity for me. All they say is striped shell with front seam liner. Thanks in advance.

This what my M1C liner looks like. I had four and they were all the same, most likely from the same production run. They were made By Westinghouse. I can't see enough for me to say one way or the other on yours to be sure, but I notice the yokes are different material and the buckles look different to me.

Not looking good to me: aviator leather chincup, OD3 chinstraps and A-yokes look like repros, the rivets attached to the A-washers are not good either.

Save your money for something better

P59-A, your liner is a WWII production Westinghouse that has the OD painted cast buckles (only produced during WWII).

So it would be best to hold off?

How much does he want for this helmet?

Probably best to hold off and wait for something better to show up, there's way better stuff out there. Patience has its rewards.
