Airborne Numbered Collar Brass

I thought I would start a thread to show some original numbered collar brass from WW2 Airborne units. Other members can add to the thread and show other examples as well. Would like to see both gothic and blocked numbered examples. All of the original wartime examples that I have encountered or seen in veterans hands have all had the numbers attached to the front of the bar. It is of my opinion, that the ones with numbers attached on top of the bar are post war examples.

Yikes! So the pictured airborne officer collar brass below aren't WW2? I didn't know this and while photographing this group I noticed the 9 over M 1950s era hallmark on the 516th PIR brass that proves your findings. Wish I had know this 30 years ago.

Here are a pair of 501st PIR block lettering officer airborne collar brass which I believe to be of WW2 era as it was part of an unnamed grouping with the plastic 501st PIR DUI.

Here is a pair of 506th PIR block numbering style collar brass where the numbers are soldered onto the bar and not above the bar yet in my opinion they are post war.
