P-59A Posted January 3, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2019 These are three medals that belonged to one guy. The NYNG 10 year neck ribbon was replaced in later years with a standard medal.
P-59A Posted January 3, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted January 3, 2019 The number on this medal allowed me to track down who the owner was. S/Sgt Ross M. Thibault S/N 20271114 was born on 03/06/16 in North Frankfort N.Y. He enlisted in the New York National Guard on his birthday 1934 and was discharged 10/02/45. S/Sgt Thiabult originally served with the 10th Inf. Reg. and later the 27th Div. 106th Reg. Medical Dept. On Nov 20 1943 he was on Makin Atol, Feb. 19 1944 Eniwetok Island, June 20 1944 Saipan and March 20 1945 he was on Okinawa. I have no idea what his MOS was. If any one can come up with that I would be very gratefull.
