I know the Eisenhower D-Day letter is the one that most people know and want but I was wondering about this one?

It is a letter announcing the upcoming planned crossing by allied troops of the Rhine river into Germany.

It is dated March, 1945 and signed by Field-Marshal, B. L. Montgomery.

i don't remember seeing these around, at compared to the "D-Day" ones?

I have one of these in the scrap book of the commander of the 17th Airborne 139th Engineer battalion Lt Col Stanley. He made the jump\attack over the Rhine in gliders under the comand of Montgomery Great piece. Yours shows a lot less wear than mine.

Sounds like a great scapebook.

I figured there had to be other letters out there.
