denfly Posted January 2, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2019 I have a spare canteen cap with the numbers 43 molded inside and a stylized 'S'. Would this be the year of the cap because it has a brass chain and rivet on top which was used in 1950's. All the WW2 models I have are the steel chain and rivet.
