patches Posted January 1, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2019 Late WWII into the 50s, usually seen if worn as a combat patch, though sometimes the type was worn organizationally, on the chest, usually in the 50s above the NAME tape and after 1953 the U.S. ARMY tape.
