British Commando Knife

Ive had this example since the 80s. It is like No. 2, page 164 of Coles Book III. The elastic band of the sheath is long gone. As you can see in the photos to follow, mine is marked with the Arrow and an 8, and marked ENGLAND on the handle side of the guard. The guard is steel, the handle and nut are not brass, and are not magnetic, zinc? Cole says this type was made toward the end of war. Anybody know approximate dates?

Thanks for looking.

Nice and correct. Back in the 'old' days of collecting this was known as the fourth pattern of the British Commando knife as it was a thin blade, but in today's collecting world it is the third pattern either with a thick or thin blade. No matter what, It's correct.
