268th C.A. Posted December 14, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2018 I always thought that toy makers got very skillfull during the war as a shortage of metal forced people to make a lot of toys from wood. He is a nice example of a WW2 Tank I'm sure made some child very happy, the turret turns and tracks roll. notice the period track repairs (replaced) un painted. With the war on I'm sure OD paint could be liberated. I just think this is a wonderful toy with a lot of thought. I can hear the kids clankty clank...Boom Post your toys if you have some.... I guess it was played with hard at one time to throw a track...then again it could have rolled over a teller mine....
268th C.A. Posted December 14, 2018 Author Share #2 Posted December 14, 2018 A simple wooden ship...I'm sure this one sailed all the seven sea's in the bath tub...pond or cattle trough...any place it could be launched, in a child's imagination. Mr.Jerry Posted December 17, 2018 Share #5 Posted December 17, 2018 Just sold this little artillery truck, complete with marble "driver". No batteries needed, but just a little imagination!
