Justin B. Posted December 11, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2018 A 1907 article in a woman's magazine called "The Delineator" (which was associated with the Butterick sewing pattern company) gives some details about rating badges for these dresses, including photos from the regulations. They say it's common to use the rating of a relative in the service, or one related to the father's occupation. If you wanted to know more about the specialty marks, you could send them a self-addressed stamped envelope and they'd send you more information! https://books.google.com/books?id=LW5JAQAAMAAJ&dq=navy%20uniform%20blouse&pg=PA1080#v=onepage&q&f=false
Unteroffizer Klaus Posted September 1, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2019 Wow! That is truly awesome! Considering the age and whatnot, it could surely be helpful for me and most likely others. Thanks! Have a nice day! -Liam
