ClaptonIsGod Posted December 9, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 9, 2018 Saw this browsing online, and it strikes me as quite odd. Never seen a liner with the drawstring type suspension and yet no nape strap or chinstrap studs. Is it an early transitional model from the WWII layout to the Vietnam style, a foreign liner, or just an abomination? I know the sweatband is wrong, but looking past that as it could have been added whenever theoretically.
Justin Posted December 9, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 9, 2018 I believe it's foreign. Used to have one like it when I was a kid. Had odd markings in it.
trenchfoot Posted December 9, 2018 Share #3 Posted December 9, 2018 There looks to be writing on the webbing. Maybe that can help identify what country used it
RememberThe5thESB Posted December 9, 2018 Share #4 Posted December 9, 2018 Looks like similar to the Israeli M1 liners really. Sent from my SM-J327V using Tapatalk

ClaptonIsGod Posted December 10, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted December 10, 2018 Hangul?? I was thinking it might be Korean, didn't look like Hebrew to me and if it was an Israeli helmet it would have a third bail (unless the shell isn't original). denfly Posted December 17, 2018 Share #9 Posted December 17, 2018 Tried but site won't accept. It's likely a reject offered to another country or as a toy.
Bodes Posted December 17, 2018 Share #10 Posted December 17, 2018 The liner in the OP appears to be a composite material.....Belgian M1's used plastic liners as well....Bodes
