patches Posted December 8, 2018 Share #7 Posted December 8, 2018 Quite odd that the insignia is sewn on it. SFC and a U.S. ARMY tape, with no NAME tape.
WAHOOMAN Posted December 8, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted December 8, 2018 This HBT shirt was found at an estate sale. The owner of the residence was a WWII veteran. My guess is that the veteran had the shirt prepared for use, but never wore it. Also, it could be that the Army was in transition in using a different type of blouse. I have several more new utility shirts (O.G. 107) that I acquired from the same residence.
patches Posted December 9, 2018 Share #9 Posted December 9, 2018 Well believe it or not these WWII M43 HBT shirts were still issued out, and still worn by those that had them well into the 50s, this being the period after 1954 with the newly introduced U.S. ARMY tape.
