New Member from Charleston SC

Hello everyone... I'm Edward in Charleston SC home of the Aircraft Carrier USS Yorktown CV 10 "The Fighting Lady" and the Destroyer the USS Laffey... However my main interests and collection is of the USAAF with a particular interest in bomber groups and specifically B-17, B-24, B-26 and B-25 crew.

My collection isn't very large and I try to keep it within the ETO 1942/43 era but some of my items go beyond that scope. I try to limit my collection so as not to go crazy overboard... too late! LOL!

 

I do have some highly desirable and rare-ish items that I will post pics of as I get the time.

My most recent acquisition is the 1942 Cruver B-17 recognition model.

It is one of the most desirable and more difficult spotter models to get. I got really lucky! Its a great match to go with the 1942 government printing recognition poster. I also have the B-26 poster and cruver spotter which I will post later.

I haven't made a display stand for the 1942 Cruver B-26 Marauder yet so for now it sits on my B-17E seat cushions

Hello Edward, welcome to the forum! Interesting items in your collection, like the recognition models and the framed posters for them! Seems it`s always the same, the hope for a specialized collection - and then you see an item you want....
