tarheeltim Posted December 2, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 2, 2018 The tree is not complete until the GI Joe ornament is hung! I believe this was made by Hallmark and is dated 1999. Wife makes me put it in an obscure spot on the tree - LOL. Wishing all you guys and gals a Merry Christmas!
JasonT Posted December 2, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2018 That's a cool ornament! May have to look on ebay for one myself, but it would also find itself on the back of the tree in an obscure spot lol
1canpara Posted December 2, 2018 Share #3 Posted December 2, 2018 Same here! I have the whole GI Joe Christmas ornament collection but my wife actually encourages me to place them in prominent positions on the tree because she says they represent me and my childhood and my love of military collecting! We also have a section of the tree that represents our dogs and our travels to different countries with an ornament from each place we visit. Merry Christmas (early) to all! Blacksmith Posted December 2, 2018 Share #4 Posted December 2, 2018 That is awesome! Our tree also tells a family story when decorated. Adorned with kid-made ornaments, like yarn santa, popsicle stick art, and the like. We even have a Grinch ornament. Same here! 268th C.A. Posted December 2, 2018 Share #5 Posted December 2, 2018 I like it, move it up in front of the tree. "Merry Christmas" too you too! I still have my German Gijoe my sister gave me for Christmas 100 years ago. LOL
Blacksmith Posted December 2, 2018 Share #6 Posted December 2, 2018 That is likely the Soldiers Of The World - German Soldier. Those are super cool. He came with some really neat accessories, like a horsehair pack, Luger, MP40, and Iron Cross. Nice that you still have it. I like it, move it up in front of the tree. "Merry Christmas" too you too! aerialbridge Posted December 2, 2018 Share #7 Posted December 2, 2018 Nice, but if she won't let Joe stand front and center on the Tannenbaum, don't let her slip Barbie in there.
