easterneagle87 Posted November 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2018 Has anyone ever seen Sheffield utensils inside US mess kits? These were found in a WW1 dated 1917 kit. Richarson, Compactum, Sheffield England I have had a French made mess kit that practically cast iron rather than aluminum.
USARV72 Posted November 21, 2018 Share #2 Posted November 21, 2018 Most likely added by Boy Scout.
easterneagle87 Posted November 22, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted November 22, 2018 pretty interesting. The fork/knife combo's were pretty cheaply made when I was a kid (early 1970's) Theses are a lot nicer than I ever had. I'll ask over on the world forum if they are Brit issued.
