316th FS 324th FG Posted December 10, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 10, 2008 Looking for some quick advice on prices. Saw two sleeping bags today, one a USN down bag from WWII in good shape, and the second a wool, US Army one from WWII, pretty heavily mothed. Neither of these is in my area of collecting, but would appreciate any advice as to whether they are worth picking up for a quic re-sale. Thanks Doug
subsystem4 Posted December 10, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 10, 2008 I would be interested in a USN sleeping bag. The wool army sleeping bags are common and aren't very valuable even in mint condition.
gpw_42 Posted December 10, 2008 Share #3 Posted December 10, 2008 I recommend $40 as MAX for a GOOD condition Army bag, and even that might be pushing it a little. At least that's MY perspective, w/o an eBay scan to see what recent prices are doing. I agree with subsystem they're not very valuable - in part b/c they're not very warm. Now, stick a poncho liner in there with you? It becomes a MUCH better piece of gear! Thrasher
