militbuff Posted November 15, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2018 I just got these today from a man whose wifes brother in law served as a radio operator/radio repairman in Japan from December 1945 through July 1946 according to his discharge papers. He joined the AAF in 1943 and didnt serve anywhere else overseas (like China) during the war. And yet these two Chinese made bullion 5th AAF patches must have been sold in Japan. If it hadnt been for the tags on the backs, I would have thought they were Japanese made. If only all patches were tagged like this!

firefighter Posted November 16, 2018 Share #13 Posted November 16, 2018 Nice Chinese made never seen one before Same here. I was thinking before that the 5th AAF was in the SWP, so unusual to find them being made in China.
