Please Help Me ID This US Military Garment, I Think its a WW2 era M-1951 Trousers

Please Help Me ID This US GI M-1951 Pants. I think its from WW2 but im not sure Please help me find out more info about this garment. I took several close up photos.

The QM Label is hard to read.

M-1951 would make it Korean War era not WW2. Field pants were used over uniform trousers especially in cold weather. Judging by the material and buttons it's genuine from that era of the 1950's. Could of been used up into the early 1960's.

Rigger modified M-1951 trousers with pockets added.

 

The 1951 is a bit of a giveaway that these arent Second World War era.

When you say "Rigger Modified," it is taken to mean that these were modified for airborne use. These are not. They are simply field trousers that have been DEPOT modified by adding the cargo pockets to the field trousers. For what it is worth, these trousers were still being used into the 1980's as all active, guard and reserve units had cold weather "go to war" stock for when the balloon went up against the Soviets.

During the 1980's, these were more modern when I was in both active and Guard to match the M65 field jacket and later, camo versions. I have never seen these anywhere during the 1980's even with other units and reserve forces. It seems likely that these were phased out during the 1960's with the advent of the M65 field jacket to make it more uniform. The oldest one's i've experianced were the ones with a terry cloth like fabric on the inside and I believe those to be from the early 1970's.
