Tecko Posted November 2, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 2, 2018 My name is Peter, ex- RAAF avionics technician and instruments. Now semi-retired counsellor of twenty years. Volunteer technician and model maker for the Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum. Currently building, in my spare time, a scratch build model of the movie Bridge on the River Kwai. This model is the link between me and to this fine forum. Many American and other POW to the Japanese have suffered and died in building the Thai-Burma (Death) Railway. The model uses the movie bridge, as opposed to the real bridge, due to its world wide recognition (icon). My goal is to build an uncompleted bridge showing POW working on it in the enslaved poor conditions they were in. A tribute build.
