What does a real "US" stamped WWII baseball look like?

Maybe a random question, but someone on ebay had a bunch of "WWII" baseballs last year that had the "US" stamp on them. I was told here that they were fake (even though they were sold as authentic)

Anyway, I was wondering if these were a real thing or just a fantasy piece. If they were real, does anybody have a photo of a real one?

Thanks!

Sorry, these are fake. I've been researching these for a decade. These are being madein Massachusetts and a few eBay sellers spreading these onto unsuspecting collectors. I have written extensively about these baseballs and what to look for in an authentic. No baseball had these large letters stamped on them. If you look carefully, you can see the ink is over much of the soiling.

There are some other ancillary articles regarding balls, but the above should help you.

Thanks for your input and research on this! It's sad they are making these. I would totally be down to buy one if they set them up as fantasy pieces! Would still to be cool to have one at a reasonable price.

How often do the authentic WWII era balls go on the market, and how much are they worth? I really just want an authentic WWII era ball to display.

Thanks!
