Grant G. Posted October 14, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 14, 2018 It's an original late-war "first pattern" (actually third type produced), helmet cover.

jeremiahcable Posted October 14, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 14, 2018 As stated, a good late war cover. That seller has listed the parts of a nice WW2 era USMC helmet individually.
WWII_GI Posted October 14, 2018 Share #5 Posted October 14, 2018 As stated, a good late war cover. That seller has listed the parts of a nice WW2 era USMC helmet individually. This is my listing, as stated above the helmet cover is genuine, please feel free to ask any questions, I can send additional pictures if needed. As for it being listed individually I did get the fixed bail shell, capac liner, and helmet cover together but I do not believe that they were original to each other. They looked put together to me, the shell has a post war repaint, and they showed no signs of being original to each other. If I believed it was original I would not have split it up. Thank you -Steven

dunit35 Posted October 24, 2018 Share #7 Posted October 24, 2018 It's an original late-war "first pattern" (actually third type produced), helmet cover. I saw this item listed when I purchased your cover. I was debating on which one to get but since yours was the earlier produced model, that made up my mind.
