okidonn Posted October 14, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2018 I have this set of Marine Corps radar related photos and am trying to determine the dates of the photos. No other info except what you see on the photos. I researched the various pieces of radar equipment and they were developed in WWII but not sure if the photos are actually from WWII. Looper5920 Posted June 21, 2022 Share #2 Posted June 21, 2022 The SP-1M and TPS-1B were fielded by USMC units beginning in 1944 but did not really hit the FMF until 1945. Okinawa was the first time that they were used in combat. After the war they were also utilized by USMC radar units in Northern China. It would be great to see close ups of these photos is able.
