Received this in the mail today. No research yet buy apparently the Marine was at Guadalcanal with L and K battery. I may need some research help...

Digging around through patch archives it seems this woven type is very simple while the printed AustralianMade version has a little more detail, as the FE US made type. Wonder if the gold cross cannons were ever theater made

This is a very small lot, but it's got some really nice pics and paperwork (all fits in one ziploc). All of his awards are pinned to the sleeve chevron, and I'll leave as such. He may have joined in 41 and was out by 51.

....and I really like the list of stuff he wanted as souvenirs. Everyone else was busy snatching up bugles, helmets, swords, rifles, pistols and bayonets.....
