alloutww2 Posted October 1, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2018 Purchased at an estate sale yesterday for $3. I have one already, but mine doesn't have the threaded hole in the bottom. Also, this one has a much different spoon. The top is marked "FUZE M1OA2" next line "LOT EK" bottom line "78" Just looking for a bit of information on this piece. (Just disregard the hillbilly rigged paperclip holding the spoon in place)
pzjgr Posted October 1, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 1, 2018 Hard to tell, spoon looks like maybe it was broken, and rigged together? In any case, its WWII...actually the body with the more rounded shoulder may be earlier, but its really hard to tell with such small pictures... Fuze is Eastman Kodak manufactured.... The threaded hole on the bottom would have a plug in it... Also you can always tell a WWII type spoon by the way the end curls over the front of the bouchon instead of under...plus the fuze threads are finer than post war threads... alloutww2 Posted October 1, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted October 1, 2018 The only marking I can find on the body is a 2 towards the bottom. Now that you mentioned it, it is quite obvious that the spoon broke and was rigged together. At any rate, great buy for 3 bucks
