anton67 Posted September 22, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2018 i picked this up today. It is an oil painting by Robert Higgs. The dimensions are 17.75" X 11.14" high. The painting appears to depict a fantasy, or hypothetical, scene of an XF4U-1 Corsair prototype (circa 1940), shooting down the German Graf Zeppelin II, which first flew in 1938, but was scrapped in 1940. Thanks to other members for some of this info. There is a COA on the back.

anton67 Posted September 22, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted September 22, 2018 The back was taped around the edges and it was behind glass. I removed the tape and took out the glass.
anton67 Posted September 24, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted September 24, 2018 I posted this same painting in the "What's it Worth?" section before I purchased it. I then posted it here as I thought it would draw more interest. I got a lot of great info from members on the other thread. So, if anyone is interested they should go to the other section to follow up.
