mccooper Posted September 9, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2018 Finally! Was offered - and bought - a named (Jesse Sutton) triple patched uniform and grouping, which includes his named and unit ID'ed gas mask, great 332 over E collar disc, VM with V-V and DS clasps, Italian 1915-1918 medal with Mussolini certificate, photos, 332 ID'ed rifle cleaning rod kit and lots of letters, in one of which he comments on "going over the top without a scratch." Even came with the wooden shipping crate he used to ship stuff home from Camp Merritt. Lucky to get this one, as it is second battalion, which I prefer. They fought the Austrians, had the only KIA (Kell, Co. G) and went to Yugoslavia after the Armistice. E Co. stationed in Zelenika on the Bay of Cattaro. And a great year to buy it - 100 years later! mccooper
