Hi there!

There's anybody that could date the US Navy Commander cap to which this label belongs?

On the sweatband there's write "Bancroft Pak Cap Constructions U.S. Pat. No.3816952" and his "soul" is in plastic.

Any info about CDR Dough Hargrave?

Many thanks in advance to whom will help me!

Best regards

This label is not WWII Bancroft.  I believe the information on the label shown is correct.  As for information on the officer, this is beyond my pay grade.  Jack

Hi, Thanks for your reply Jack.

Yep I know that is not from WWII. What do you mean saying that the information of the label is correct?

Thanks to you too, 29navy,

then if Duglas was enlisted in 1972 he may have become commander 20 years after?

1970's to early 1980's

That looks like a twin of my 1970's Bancroft  USN combination hats that still reside in my seabag.....

Yes, he was a LtCdr in 1988 as and Aeronautical Engineering Duty Officer so he would be eligible for CDR about that time.
