Scarecrow Posted September 7, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2018 Admittedly wings are not the main focus of my collection but do pick them up occasionally. Recently acquired this pilot wing at a monthly militaria meet. This manufacturer is not known to me and an internet search was not fruitful. Sorry for some of the blurry photos. The wings are hallmarked Sterling and MF & Co. Era? Any help from our Forum's avid wing collectors would be greatly appreciated.

pfrost Posted September 7, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2018 A beauty of a wing and probably rather rare. My sense is that this may be a 1930's vintage wing. Love it.

Steve L Posted September 8, 2018 Share #5 Posted September 8, 2018 Scarecrow, Thanks so much for posting your example. I believe this now brings the total of known examples that have been identified through internet exposure to a whopping 3; might be off by a digit but regardless a rare bird. Interesting to see the different Tiffany like positioning of the hallmarking on your example.
