smwinter207 Posted September 6, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 6, 2018 This hat seems to have a nicer, inner layer sewn in? Comments welcomed.
VMI88 Posted September 6, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 6, 2018 Can you post an image of the top? It appears to be a theater-made boonie. Does it have a metric size stamped anywhere (56, for example)?
chris3bs Posted September 6, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 6, 2018 I've had one boonie hat which belonged to a. U.S. Vietnam KIA soldier about eight years ago. The family kept his clothes he was wearing at the time including the mud on the boots at his death. His hat is suppose to be in Hawaii on display with the family story. That one particular item was very dear to me because of the first hand account from his sister. Now IMO it would help if a picture was made of the opposite side as well. VMI88 Posted September 7, 2018 Share #5 Posted September 7, 2018 It's hard to see details in the photos but I think you have a theater-made souvenir boonie hat.
