easterneagle87 Posted September 4, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2018 Picked up this marine photo this weekend. I think it's from WW2. Here's where it's interesting. They're holding '03's and not garands. Training? State side? There were A LOT of Springfields around, so I don't think thats an issue. BUT.. there are a bunch with a couple of rows of ribbons, so that tells me it's not just a training or boot photo. Next, are the guys in leadership positions. The jackets aren't Vandergrifts, as the bottom portion appears to be "tucked". Thoughts/ Info?
easterneagle87 Posted September 4, 2018 Author Share #2 Posted September 4, 2018 Possibly later than ww2?
TLeo Posted September 4, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 4, 2018 Looks to me like Vandergrifts with the cartridge belt over the lower portion, not really tucked.
