NS Meyer triplicate

I am 100% sure of the age of these. I suspect that they go from as early as the end of WWII till the post KW time period.

The command pilot belonged to Col Donald Menzies Hamilton. He had an interesting career that I haven't gotten around to do much research about. Apparently, he was in the USMC from 1923-1939, then the USAAF from 1939-1947, then the USAF from 1947 until he retired. He passed in 1986.

I have no idea if he was a pilot in the USMC or if he was trained in 1939. But assuming he was trained in 1939 as a pilot, the earliest he could have earned his command pilot wings would have been around 1954.

Note that the senior pilot wing exists both with the little stars on stilts (which I believe may have been used earlier) and the ones with just the star added directly. I suspect that they just used up the little stars on stilts until they ran out and started to use the plain stars.

Note that all the wings have the NS Meyer hallmark in the same place. The pilot wing has some problems and was broken and likely someone had some ideas of turning this fellow into a bracelet.
